What we Offer

We offer several options for your practice. The recommended option is interpretation and reporting services by one of our consultants, licensed in your state. We also offer additional services if you'd like to be responsible for ultrasound interpretation.

Interpretation and Reporting

Send us as few or as many cases as you'd like with the push of a button. An expert in the field will interpret your ultrasound and provide a complete report within hours, or sooner if needed. We work directly with your sonographer. The price of $40/ case includes the PACS fee- we will keep ultrasound images for required 7 years.

We will provide suggestions to the sonographer when we believe it would be helpful. We also provide educational resources so your sonographer can continue to learn and improve. We work strictly as a consultant for interpretation and reporting on a per case basis, similar to how you might employ the sonographer. You bill as usual. The fee to us is a flat rate for all cases. The complex and time consuing cases help average out the straight forward exams. We will review all images, and finalyze a report which is then available to you minutes later. It's as if we are working in the room next door. So you get the expertise of an MFM ultrasound expert, or equivalent, within your office, but at a fraction of the price. We can only make it work financially based on volume, and so receive exams from multiple offices. These exams show up as a work list for the consultant helping you.

Exams are finalyzed within 24 hours in most cases. If you need more urgent help, simply mark the case as a STAT, and it will be reviewed immediately.

Format Reports for Your Review

For as little as $15/ case, we will format the report so it's ready for your review and signature. Let your sonographer continue to scan rather than spending time on reporting. Includes our world class PACS service and templates which have taken years to formulate.

PACS only

If you'd like to interpret your own reports using our software, PACS and customized reports and you may do so at the low cost of $5/ case. The PACS includes unlimited images and cine segments. You or your staff have access to the images and reports from any internet enabled device, from anywhere. Images and reports are kept for a minimum of 7 years, as required by legal guidelines. We charge slightly more than StudyCast because you get access to our templates.

Setup: Initial setup is free. The charge is a simple flat rate per case. So, if you send no cases, there is never a charge. But you are ready to send cases and ask for help when you need to. As explained above, this simply requires installation of software on a computer or laptop on your network that is also connected to your ultrasound machine. Set up usually takes about an hour. Site visits are available, on request at the cost of travel fees, but it is not necessary if we can work with your experienced sonographer, manager, or IT person.

How to send cases? On completion of the exam, or sometimes well after completion, the sonographer chooses the exam to send to our internet site. Data and images are encrypted on the installed software on your network before uploading to the cloud server.

Who will interpret the cases? An expert in the field of obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound. You will be matched with an expert, and you can decide whether the expert is right for you. Our service depends on finding qualified experts with a medical license in your state, and then It's your decision.

First, this is an additional service. You shouldn't change your current system if you are happy with it. But no matter how good your current system is, there will be cases where you could use help from an expert, in your office. Detailed studies, twins and multiples, Doppler studies, fetal abnormalities, complicated pelvic cases to name some.

Installing the software only means you are ready to send cases, when you think you'd like help. Maybe it's help on an ectopic pregnancy, interpretation of Doppler studies, twins, unusual findings, or pelvic cases.

Getting expert help reduces your liability and risk, improves quality and confidence in the services you offer, and helps free up time for you and your sonographer for additional cases or other tasks.

Interpretation and formatting reports is a time consuming process, if done correctly. In some cases, we have saved the office so much time, they were able to delay hiring additional physician help. Time saved by the sonographer also means she can see more patients. With expanded coverage of service, the service may be revenue neutral or even be revenue positive.

Send STAT cases. Mark the case as a STAT read, and it will be interpreted and reported as a STAT read, within 1-3 hours.

How Does it Work?

StudyCast

We use StudyCast pacs system, a division of GE (General Electric). It permits unlimited images and video clips plus worksheets and reports at an affordable price. Say good bye to expensive servers, IT support, and backkup in your office. Let the experts handle it. Cloud storage is at multiple sites nation wide so you never have to worry about losing images or data. All images and reports can be accessed from any internet enabled device by anyone you give access to, from anywhere.

Software

Almost everything is in the cloud servers. The only software required is an encrypted uploader (CoreConnect) located on a laptop or computer connected on the same network as the ultrasound machine- either as an isolated direct laptop connection within the ultrasound room, or on any computer in your office network. Installation of the encryption uploader takes about an hour.

Transfer

On completion of an exam, the sonographer sends the data and then the images to the IP address of the encrypted uploader (CoreConnect). The data and images are then automatically uploaded to the server where theiy are available minutes later. This means the sonographer- at your direction- can choose which cases to send for our review and reporting. You can send as few or as many cases as you'd like without notifying us ahead of time. At the same time, you can continue to process cases the way you currently do for cases you don't send to us. It's easy. If the sonographer gets stuck for any reason, StudyCast has full time IT support at her fingertips with the click of a mouse, or a phone call (the mouse is usually fastest).
